Who we are

Outfitter is a virtual try-on app that lets you see how clothing looks on you using AI-generated images. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

The service is operated by X Minds AB, a company registered in Stockholm, Sweden, which is the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at hello@tryoutfitter.com.

Information we collect

We collect the following information when you use Outfitter:

  • Account information. Your name and email address, which we collect through our authentication provider when you create an account.
  • Photos you upload. The selfies and other images you add so we can generate try-on results, along with the images we generate for you.
  • Subscription information. Whether you have an active subscription and its status. Payments are processed by Apple — we never receive or store your card details.
  • Usage and device data. How you interact with the app, plus technical information such as device type, app version, and IP address. We use this for analytics, diagnostics, and to keep the service secure.
  • Notification tokens. If you enable push notifications, a device token used to deliver them.

How and why we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the service — create your account, generate your try-on images, and deliver your results (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).
  • Process subscriptions and manage your access to paid features (performance of our contract).
  • Keep Outfitter secure and prevent abuse, including rate-limiting and detecting misuse (legitimate interests).
  • Understand and improve how the app is used, and fix problems (legitimate interests).
  • Communicate with you about your account or important service updates.

How your photos are processed

When you request a try-on, the photos you provide are sent to third-party AI providers that run the image-generation models on our behalf. They process your images only to produce your result.

We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell your photos. Your images are stored securely and are associated only with your account.

Who we share information with

We share data with the service providers that help us operate Outfitter. They process data on our instructions, under contract, and only for the purposes below:

  • Clerk — account authentication and identity.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, image storage, and content delivery.
  • Apple and RevenueCat — processing payments and managing subscriptions.
  • Replicate, OpenAI, and Anthropic — running the AI models that generate your try-on images.
  • Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
  • Segment — product analytics.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Outfitter and its users.

International data transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. When we transfer your data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your photos and personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.

Your privacy rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@tryoutfitter.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Sweden, this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Outfitter is not intended for children. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and if you are between 13 and the age of digital consent in your country, you may only use Outfitter with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.
